The process can be used for dismantling kernel devices of different assignment, and also during their current and capital repairs, emergencies. The process allows to realize distant dismantling of radioactive-infected equipment, selection of its elements according to levels of radiation with their subsequent separate decontamination, parting of equipment on more small-sized parts with the purpose of their further compact storage, laser milling of surface segments with raised level of radiation. Distance monitoring between a nozzle slice of laser lens and a surface of workpiece is realize by measuring levels of radioactivity at different heights from a surface of workpiece, while the difference between heights during operation remains constant.
