Device of jet shaping for laser cutting.
ABSTRACT

The offered device is intended for jet shaping by laser cutting and can be used together with a reflecting lens, for example, with a reflecting off - axis paraboloid. The device includes the nozzle cabinet with two holes on opposite walls for shaping two opposite directed jets, coaxial with laser beam. At sufficiently small distance between walls of the nozzle cabinet the jet supersonic outflow is probably. In the offered construction there is no laser beam screening by a nozzle narrow neck, as it occurs, using of Laval nozzle. For reducing of cutting gas consumption is offered two-section nozzle cabinet. In one section, nearest to a sample, expensive cutting gas is inject, and in other (protective) section – low-price air at the same pressure as cutting gas. The protective section also can be manufactured as supersonic free-turbulent nozzle, in which flow direction is perpendicularly axes of laser beam. In this case static pressure on a nozzle exterior edge will be equal atmospheric, and on an interior wall of the protective cabinet the static pressure is equal to pressure in the first working cabinet.
